A great opportunity has become available for a Team Leader within the DirectAxis Financial Services Division, Life Variable Shifting department.
The purpose of this position would be to, lead a Sales Consultant team to ensure the efficient sale of value added products to external customers. Please note, in line with our Employment Equity plan, suitably qualified black candidates who meet the criteria for the role will be given preference.
Description role responsibilities:
- Contributes to cost efficiencies
- Ensures customer excellence through interaction with internal and external customers throughout all business activities.
- Ensures customer service solutions are aligned to the operational business plan.
- Optimises work through the application of learning experiences.
- Ensures continuous process improvement to enable effective operational processes.
- Ensures operational excellence through the delivery of work processes according to defined quality standards.
- Ensures an efficient level of administration and query resolution.
- Ensures resources and materials under control are optimally utilised.
- Manages productivity standards i.e. the abandoned call rate, overall call quality and service level of the team.
- Contributes to teamwork.
- Promotes diversity within the team.
- Manages people performance in the area of responsibility.
- Participates in planned activities that are appropriate for own and staff development.
Requirements:
- A matric qualification/equivalent is essential.
- Completed RE 5 is essential.
- Completed FAIS Credits qualification or equivalent is essential.
- Intermediate working experience of MS Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
Experience:
- Two to three years’ contact centre agent experience in a sales function.
- One to two years’ Excel and Word (intermediate).
- One to two years’ leadership exposure.
- One year’s coaching experience.
- Two years’ insurance sales experience.
Special requirements:
- Expected to work overtime from time to time, required to work flexible shifts.
- Shifting and availability to work weekends.
- Proficiency in English and one other official language.
- Participate in DA initiatives such as marathon days and CSI initiatives.
