A leading mining company seeks to engage a Safety/Risk Control Officer for its mining operations in the WESTERN CAPE.The successful candidate must have had 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role and must have :Grade 12; National Diploma/B Tech;COSMOC 1 & 2; SAMTRAC & ISO 1800 Audit and Implementation experience.In addition the candidate must :Ensure compliance on MHSA requirements; Do incident investigations and report to relevant stakeholders;Determine causes of incidents and implement preventative and remedial measures;Do risk assessments;Conducts audits to assess compliance to COP’s and SOP’s and other statutory requirements;Do workplace inspections and instill safety awareness in all staff members;Serve on the Health & Safety Committee; Do training needs analysis on safety issues;and liase with the DMR Inspectorate in terms of corrective measures when Section 54 awards are issued .Please forward CV’s to melvynj@mweb.co.za.Closing date 12 March 2018.Please do not apply if you do not meet the minimum requirements .
