– Specialises in the development of new accounts/clients.
– Services and augments the business of existing accounts/clients.
– Identifies prospects’ advertising, marketing, and business issues and matches these with agency capabilities and ideas.
– Develops strategies and tactics for pursuing selected prospects.
– Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
– Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
– Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports and weekly work plans.
– Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, services and new services being offered.
– Recommends additions and adjustments to services delivered, and delivery of services by evaluating results and competitive developments.
– Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
– Maintains professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
– Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
– Up to three years’ industry experience.
– Preferred, but not a necessity.
– Experience does not need to be sales related (may be service or industry related).
